HOW GOOD WAS THAT EPISODE? I love Jodie Whittaker more and more each week. During this episode, I spent half the time trying to fold myself into the couch cushions to get away from the television screen (because GIANT SPIDERS), and the other half alternately laughing and tearing up.
And, although I had no clue who Bradley Walsh was before he was announced as one of the new companions (I mean, I know now that he’s really famous in Britain but I’m an Aussie, so that’s my excuse), I’m loving his portrayal of Graham. SO. MANY. FEELS. I think all the new companions are great, but Graham is my favourite.
This episode had everything – laugh out loud dialogue, tender moments, and really scary villains – not all of whom had eight legs (I’m looking at you, Chris Noth!)
What is it about fantasy/science fiction writers and giant spiders anyway? JRR Tolkien gave us Shelob. JK Rowling gave us Aragog (AND ALL HIS SCARY OFFSPRING). Thanks heaps, people! Can’t we have a nice, giant fluffy bunny or something? Just putting it out there. Although The Goodies did give us Kitten Kong…
